Amaya is a multidisciplinary designer with a special interest in working at the interface between art, psychology, emotion research and politics. Her previous working experience includes designing, planning and executing art exhibitions and events for a German cultural heritage site, as well as working in media design at a major German television channel. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Communication and Media Design from the Muenster School of Design.
For her work Amaya uses a large variety of design aspects to turn ideas and content into visual reality – a process that is inspired by her passion for making complex information easily accessible.
Her master’s thesis in Design for Change explores the theme of anger critically, by focusing on cognitive experiences with a special interest in connecting digital technologies with emotion, perception, memory and identity, while simultaneously addressing the complex challenges of our time.
