Insight
What is your favourite part of the D4C programme?
The freedom to explore and connect so many different topics by picking elective courses across the entire university. It’s a luxury to engage with themes that truly interest you!
One book or reading recommendation?
Feminism Confronts Technology by Judy Wajcman (1991) is one long “aha!”-moment on how technological developments hold fundamental gender biases. A good basis to reflect on (not) reproducing patriarchal structures in new technologies.
What area of design are you most interested in?
Fashion design, as it is a prime example of a commodity that is resource intensive in its materials, human input and cultural value while being subject to an intense global network.
