Motivated and hardworking creative problem solver who can think strategically, but also loves getting into the details that take design above and beyond by working within a team. Interested in developing creative, innovative solutions with attention to detail, especially interested in the relationship between humans and the broader environment and how technology can be used for communicating with society to involve individuals in positive change. With a background in digital media and interaction design, the MA programme of Design for Change has given me the skills to take my career to the next level and become even more aware of global issues, but mostly how to tackle them using design as a discipline and a methodology.
Insight
Who are you inspired by?
One of the people I take much inspiration is the photographer Steve McCurry – I love how he is able to communicate so much with a photograph, through the sight of people who have harsh view of the world.
One book or reading recommendation?
“Soil and Soul” by Alistair McIntosh – read it as a reading list book in one of my courses but loved it from start to finish, definitely recommend it if interested in the environment and want to read about a positive real-life story!
What do you think is the role of design for change?
I believe it is the ability to see a way to drive change with a creative approach, regardless of the discipline, even in situations that become very disruptive.
