Zoy Anastassakis Headshot

Zoy is Associate Professor, at the Superior School of Industrial Design, State University of Rio de Janeiro (ESDI/UERJ), Brazil. She has coordinated the research group “Laboratório de Design e Antropologia” (Design and Anthropology Lab)since 2012. Since April 2019, she has been a visiting researcher at the Centre for Research in Anthropology (CRIA), Lisboa New University, in Portugal. She is currently preparing a book about the “ESDI Aberta” (Open ESDI) movement and it was what she discussed with us when she visited to give a lecture and run a workshop with the Design for Change students in September 2019. Her book is forthcoming in Bloomsbury’s “Designing in Dark Times” collection edited by Clive Dilnot and Eduardo Staszowski.
